Its been a while since the Heritage Centre was open but every weekend from Saturday 1st July, through to the end of October, we will be open to share Brandon’s heritage.\u00a0 The centre closed its doors almost two years ago and remained shut with the threat of permanent closure and the artifacts moving out of the centre so it could be used for alternative means.\u00a0 To say we are excited at being in a position to open the centre is an understatement.\u00a0 Our Open Day in June showed us that you care as much about the centre as we do – 250 visitors and \u00a3400 donated!<\/p>\n
So why not pop along and visit our collection of flintknapping, including our flintknapper’s shed, our objects relating to the town’s fur industry, the forest display and our Harvey Adam Room dedicated to the town’s social and wartime history.\u00a0 We also have a variety of books on sale, just \u00a35 each, all highlighting an aspect of Brandon’s history.\u00a0 We also have many more books on Brandon and the local region that you can read within the centre.<\/p>\n
