Town Street was one of two settlements making up Brandon, the other being Ferry Street (High Street), and although the more prominent in its time it became known as ‘Old Brandon’. Town Street lies to the wet of the parish church, St. Peter’s, and has often been referred to looking like an old Scottish fishing village.
