The centre will be back open again!

Time to open the doors to the community …

Its been a while since the Heritage Centre was open but every weekend from Saturday 1st July, through to the end of October, we will be open to share Brandon’s heritage.  The centre closed its doors almost two years ago and remained shut with the threat of permanent closure and the artifacts moving out of the centre so it could be used for alternative means.  To say we are excited at being in a position to open the centre is an understatement.  Our Open Day in June showed us that you care as much about the centre as we do – 250 visitors and £400 donated!

So why not pop along and visit our collection of flintknapping, including our flintknapper’s shed, our objects relating to the town’s fur industry, the forest display and our Harvey Adam Room dedicated to the town’s social and wartime history.  We also have a variety of books on sale, just £5 each, all highlighting an aspect of Brandon’s history.  We also have many more books on Brandon and the local region that you can read within the centre.

BEST OF ALL YOUR VISIT TO THE CENTRE IS FREE!!!!  That’s right no admission fees this year.
