Groundwork case study

Groundwork have used Brandon Heritage Centre as a case study to encourage organizations to apply more than once for funding from Tesco – ‘Bags of Help’.  Our first application was to help us modernise our flint display.  The second application, which is currently running in store, will see us take the heritage beyond the walls of the centre.

In November 2018 the nation will commemorate the centenary of the armistice.  We are part of a group of interested parties – church, groups, town council, individuals and businesses, planning events in town.  By participating in the vote we are guaranteed third spot (£1,000) whcih is earmarked for printing of a book of Brandon during WW1.  Other events, such as a 1918-era football match, purchase of a WW1 replica army uniform and talks around town, are dependent upon how well we finish in the vote – the higher our position the more money we will be given.

So if you shop at Tesco then please consider us when you vote.  Alternatively if you are a Brandon organisation then why don’t you apply for funding?  If you have applied once already then why not apply again?
