Local Charities Day
Local Charities Day
Today we welcomed the Rt. Hon. Matt Hancock (Member of Parliament for West Suffolk), Gary Rowe (Groundwork), Mark Rafferty (Tesco) and Sam Vare (Tesco) as part of the national ‘Local Charities Day’. Mr Hancock is the Minister of State for Digital and Culture, and was promoting his department sponsored day. He was given a tour of our fine facility and was genuinely interested in our fine heritage – especially keen to learn about our flintknapping, rabbit warrening and the archaeological dig by the river. Before the tour he presented the centre with a £4,000 cheque, courtesy of the Tesco/Groundwork scheme – ‘Bags of Help’.
